About This Station

The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station. The data is collected and the site updated every 30 seconds. The data reported on this site is collected using Weather Display Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge (heated in freezing conditions), UV and solar radiation sensors, and a thermo-hydro sensor. These instruments and sensors are situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible, at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. The weather station is located approximately 5 kilometers northeast of Walters Falls or 10 kilometers southwest of Meaford, Ontario.

About Walters Falls

Walters Falls is a picturesque village located approximately 15 kilometers south of the town of Meaford in scenic Grey County, Ontario. The village was founded in the 1850s by John Walter, who harnessed the power of the nearby falls to run a sawmill, feedmill and woolen mill. Today, only the feedmill continues to operate on water power, but the power of the water continues to attract many tourists and nature-lovers.
